About Us
Cork bar & Catering Equipment was founded in 1981 by the current Managing Director Mr. Ger O' Sullivan. Ger worked in Dublin from 1975 until 1981. During Ger’s first year in the industry, he worked in service and for the remainder of his time in Dublin he worked in Sales in the Munster Region. In late 1981 Ger started Cork Bar & Catering Equipment Ltd.
The company had just one employee who serviced the machines while Ger worked in Sales. In 1984 the company was moved from the home of an employee to a small showroom at 41 McCurtain Street and from there the company supplied glasses and light ware, along with icemakers & glass washers. In 1988/1989, Thompson’s bakery was bought by Jack Lynch and he refurbished the entire area and the two front windows became available for letting. Cork Bar & Catering found its new home.
The company than moved to Ballycurreen Industrial Estate in October 1996 and opened an extensive showroom. In April 2008 Cork Bar & Catering started fabricating stainless steel, which completes the total solution offer of being able to supply Catering Equipment, Service, Stainless Steel Fabrication, and Design services to our customers. We are celebrating 27 years in the industry, and we would like to thank all our customers for their ongoing support.
